The ex-lawyer for the former president has resigned as the chief federal prosecutor in the state. This comes after a legal ruling that invalidated her right to occupy the role.

Attorney General's Statement

US Attorney General, Pam Bondi, accepted her stepping down on Monday. In a statement that the judicial decision made it "untenable" for Habba to lead the department effectively.

"But do not mistake compliance for surrender," Habba stated. "This battle will now extend throughout the nation."
