The UK television network is arranging to observe Donald Trump's tour to the UK with what it calls as "the longest uninterrupted reel of false statements, falsehoods and twisted facts ever aired on television". The feature, titled Trump v The Truth, will showcase in excess of 100 of Trump's lies or inaccurate statements. This includes baseless allegations including the cost of eggs to outrageous fabrications about US spending on condoms for Hamas.

However, in the interest of balance, it's fitting to acknowledge that not every remark from the one-time commander-in-chief is untrue. Sometimes, Trump proves to be unexpectedly astute. Just this week, footage spread online showing Trump telling guests at a function at one of his golf clubs: "Educated folks aren’t fond of me, you know?" He added: "They also disapprove of what we address." No inaccuracies found there.

Smart people aren’t fond of me, you know? Furthermore, they don’t like what we talk about.

Additionally, Trump has expressed his perspectives on the outcome of his eternal spirit. In August, during a Tuesday morning, the one-time head of state reportedly remarked that he is trying to halt the war in Ukraine so that a higher power can save him a spot in heaven. "I desire to try and get to heaven, if possible," he noted. "I’ve been told I’m not doing well. I am really at the bottom of the hierarchy." While it's impossible to verify precisely how Trump stands on a higher power's roster, many would acknowledge that his assessment seems accurate.

Additionally, Trump has been more direct about the electoral system than some of his predecessors. While running for president in 2015, he plainly said that he had utilized his money to affect politicians. "I donated to numerous individuals prior to this," he said during a Republican candidates’ debate. "And believe it or not, when I need something from them in the future … I reach out. They are available for me. That’s a flawed process." More accurate statements have rarely been uttered; definitely not by Trump individually.

To conclude, although much of Trump's rhetoric is laden with untruths, there are moments when his bluntness exposes unsettling truths about the political landscape, influence, and including self-perception.
