In a bizarre partnership that challenges traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Disclosed

According to the formal release, "An unusual encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of forbidden practices and terrifying transformations resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine sect.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Transformations

The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Features

Players who finish the quest will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Addition

This patch also brings the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Enigma."
