Based on recent figures, the number of people aged 100 and above in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the total of male individuals reaching 100 has tripled from 910 to 3,100. Over the same period, the count of female individuals reaching 100 almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to receive stories from centenarians, their family or companions, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s major happenings and changes.
