An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
